Today, on June 13, 2022, at the University “Haxhi Zeka” was held Conference of Rectors of Public Universities of Kosovo. In this meeting were discussed the issues related to end of the summer semester in all participating universities of the conference. Another point of discussion was the preparation for the registration of new students for the next academic year 2022/2023.
The conference was chaired by the rector of the University “Isa Boletini”, prof.dr. Alush Musaj. Among other things, he thanked the rector of UHZ, prof.dr. Armand Krasniqi for organizing the conference as a host university.
The participants agreed that this year as a common challenge of higher education in Kosovo is the negative trend of the number of students interested in enrollment. In this regard, Rector Krasniqi stressed the importance of continuous improvement of services for students in many dimensions, in order to attract new students. “Haxhi Zeka” University, in the framework of its strategy with a focus on the student perspective, has planned and is engaged in activities such as: university profiling, harmonization of internal legislation, drafting new programs, enhancing the quality of teaching, capacity building for scientific research, infrastructure improvement, digitalization of services, close cooperation with businesses and civil society. etc. The Rector also informed the participants that UHZ has organized for the first time the international summer university, which starts next week and lasts two weeks.
