On Saturday, Ambassador William G. Walker will be honored with the “Doctor Honoris Causa” award from Haxhi Zeka University. The title is attributed to the motivation “For humanity and special human and professional courage in the preservation and advancement of universal human rights towards the unification of the democratic world for the vital value of humanity”.
Mr. Walker played an enormous role in the unification of the democratic countries of the world, for their reaction in stopping the inhuman Serbian acts on the Albanian civilian population in Kosovo, in 1999. The exposure of these unseen crimes was best done on the occasion of Reçak massacre. Among many other massacres, Reçak awakened the conscience of the western nations to stop the barbaric aggression under the motto of freedom and democracy.
Our country is lucky to have such friends, while Haxhi Zeka University is honored and proud to give its highest award to personalities such as Ambassador William Walker.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, Minister of MASHTI, Mrs. Arbërie Nagavci, Minister of Defense Mr. Armend Mehaj, rectors of public and private universities, representatives of foreign diplomacy, as well as other eminent names of the city and the country. In this ceremony, two special musical works will be performed by the staff of the Faculty of Arts of UHZ.

Zt. William G. Walker i ndahet çmimi “Doctor Honoris Causa”
Ambasadori William G. Walker të shtunën do të nderohet me çmimin “Doctor Honoris Causa” nga Universiteti “Haxhi Zeka”. Titulli i atribuohet motivacionit “Për humanizëm dhe guximin e veçantë njerëzor dhe profesional në ruajtjen dhe avancimin e të drejtave universale të njeriut drejt unifikimit të botës demokratike për vlerën jetike të njerëzimit”.
Zt. Walker lujti një rol enorm për unifikimin e vendeve demokratike të botës, për reagimin e tyre në ndaljen e akteve ç’njerëzore serbe mbi popullatën civile shqiptare në Kosovë, në vitin 1999. Shpërfaqja e këtyre krimeve të papara më së miri u bë me rastin e masakrës së Reçakut. Në mesin e shumë masakrave të tjera, Reçaku zgjoi ndërgjegjën e kombeve perëndimore për ta ndalur agresionin barbar nën moton e lirisë dhe demokracisë.
Shteti ynë është me fat që ka miqë të tillë, ndërsa Universiteti “Haxhi Zeka” e ka për nder e krenari dhënien e çmimit më të lartë të tij personaliteteve të tilla si, Ambasadori William Walker.
Në ceremoninë e ndarjes së çmimit do të marrë pjesë kryeministri i Republikës së Kosovës, Zt. Albin Kurti, ministrja e MASHTI-t, Znj. Arbërie Nagavci, Ministri i Mbrojtjes Zt. Armend Mehaj, rektorë të universiteteve publike dhe private, përfaqësuesë të diplomacive të huaja, si dhe emra të tjerë eminent të qytetit dhe vendit. Në këtë ceremoni do të interpretohen dy vepra muzikore të përzgjedhura nga personeli i Fakultetit të Arteve të UHZ.
