The project aligns closely with the objectives of the call by addressing the pressing need to build the capacity of vocational education and training (VET) providers in the metal industry to strengthen cooperation between public and private stakeholders. By integrating modern digitalization concerns, digital products, and services into the industry, the project directly responds to the demand for demand oriented and opportunity-driven VET interventions.
The specific objectives of the project are:
• Improving regional and transnational multi-stakeholder cooperation through a public-private partnership framework for better utilisation of ICT skills and tools relevant to Industry 4.0.
• Improving attractiveness and responsiveness of VET offers through piloting innovative best practiced training models of ICT technologies adapted to the specifics of the metal industry.
• Raising awareness of Industry sector students and employees on lifelong learning paths in order to adapt knowledge and skills to technological progress and changing requirements of labour market.
Objective 1. Enhance the quality and responsiveness of VET in the Western Balkans to social and economic developments to increase the relevance of skill provision to the labour market.
- Measurement Unit: Number of VET educators involved.
- Measurement Unit: percentage of VET ICT programs aligned with the skill provision to the labour market in WB.
Objective 2: Align VET provision in the Western Balkans with local, regional, and national development strategies in the metal sector through engaging metal workers in non-formal education and transnational knowledge exchange.
Objective 3: Increase the capacity of VET providers in the Western Balkans to improve collaboration between business and public stakeholders for demand- and opportunity-driven VET interventions.
Objective 4: Enhance the quality of responsiveness to digitalization and innovation in the metal sector through the materials created and offered.
