The International Summer University – UNISUM 2026, organized by the University “Haxhi
Zeka”, had the honor of welcoming his excellency, Dr. László István Dux, Ambassador of
Hungary to Kosovo, as a distinguished guest speaker.
Ambassador Dux delivered an inspiring lecture on the topic “EU Enlargement Policy”,
addressing one of the most important strategic issues for the future of Europe and the Western
Balkans.
The lecture was attended by international professors, students participating in UNISUM 2026,
and professors from the University “Haxhi Zeka”, creating an engaging environment for
academic dialogue and the exchange of perspectives.
During his presentation, Ambassador Dux discussed the European Union’s enlargement
process, emphasizing its significance for regional stability, democratic development, economic
cooperation, and the European integration of the Western Balkan countries. He also shared
valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing candidate countries and
highlighted the importance of continued reforms, regional cooperation, and commitment to
European values.
Following the lecture, participants engaged in a lively discussion with Ambassador Dux, asking
questions on the future of EU enlargement, current geopolitical developments, and the role of
higher education and international cooperation in strengthening European integration.
The University “Haxhi Zeka” extends its sincere appreciation to his excellency Dr. László István
