- Description of the Summer University
The 5th edition of the International Summer University “UNISUM” is organized by the University “Haxhi Zeka” in Peja (www.unhz.eu). The primary goal of this event is to promote international collaboration with universities across national, regional, and global levels, fostering opportunities for advancement in both research and education.
The event will take place from 29th of June to July 10th 2026, offering a diverse range of ECTS-accredited courses at both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. These courses will span various multidisciplinary fields, including Business, Tourism, Agribusiness, Law, and the Arts. “UNISUM” aims to provide participants with valuable academic experiences, the opportunity to build global networks, and to engage in enriching cross-cultural exchanges.

Aims of the Summer University “UNISUM”
The primary objectives of the Summer University “UNISUM” are to:
- Enhance academic foundations and equip participants with new skills for future success.
- Broaden participants’ perspectives and intellectual horizons.
- Identify and explore new opportunities and challenges in various fields.
- Provide instruction and foster discussions from diverse analytical perspectives within specific disciplines.
- Address the latest global developments and emerging challenges.
- Facilitate opportunities for national, regional, and international collaboration.
- Promote networking among diaspora students through courses offered in Albanian/Bosnian language.
Application procedures
- Eligibility
UNISUM is open to all lecturers who are:
- Involved in an accredited college or university;
- involved in research and science;
- ambitious, creative, and transparent in transferring knowledge;
- have intentions to develop future institutionalized cooperation with UHZ.
Note:
- Teaching should be done by two teachers: Local and International. Professors of each department (local or international) can suggest a course for UNISUM. Course suggestions with the name of a co-professor indicated will have the advantage. The local professor must have advanced knowledge of English language.
- For the courses specifically in the Faculty of Arts applications involving the accompanist in piano (third person) shall be accepted.
- Lecturing and reporting during the International Summer University, UNISUM 2026 shall be done exclusively in English Language
- Proposed UNISUM 2026 syllabuses will have to be presented by local professors in English language to the Steering council of UNISUM 2026
- Advantage shall be given to the proposed courses with the international professors from European Union and Euro Atlantic countries

All candidates must complete the application form which can be found here. The application form should be returned to the International Relation Office no later than May 10th 2026. We kindly ask you to fill out the application form with accuracy, leaving no box blank. Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered.

- Admission criteria
Admissions decisions will be communicated via email latest end of May 2026. Please have the following supporting documents ready to upload to the online application form documents as follows:
- A scan of your passport;
- A copy of your contract with the institution you work for;
- An up-to-date copy of your CV;
- A detailed syllabus of the proposed module (syllabus template can be found here)
