The management of “Haxhi Zeka” University had the pleasure today to welcome the Mayor of the Municipality of Peja, Mr. Gazmend Muhaxheri, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Mr. Fatmir Asllani, the Chairperson of the Municipal Assembly Mr. Rexhep Kurbogaj, the Director of the Department for Culture, Youth, and Sports Ms. Xhenet Syka, and the Director of the Department for Education Mr. Naser Gega.
The visit was held on the occasion of the completion of the general elections process at “Haxhi Zeka” University and served as a clear expression of mutual support and consolidated partnership between the two institutions. The municipal delegation was received by the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Armand Krasniqi, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Edmond Beqiri, Vice-Rector Ms. Alma Shehu-Lokaj, and Vice-Rector Ms. Vjosa Hajdari.
The meeting was conducted in a warm and cordial atmosphere, where Rector Krasniqi, on behalf of the management and the academic community, expressed his deep appreciation for the continuous support of the Municipality of Peja, emphasizing that this institution has always been an “open door” for the University and an indispensable partner in joint educational, cultural, and developmental initiatives. He described the relationship between the two institutions as an excellent model of cooperation between local government and higher education.
For their part, the representatives of the Municipality praised “Haxhi Zeka” University as a strategic asset for the development of the city and the region, pledging to further deepen cooperation in the fields of education, innovation, culture, sports, and youth activities.
This meeting marks an important step towards strengthening the ties between the two institutions, placing higher education and local development at the center of strategies for the benefit of the community and future generations.
