Rector's Speech

Dear students, colleagues! Dear visitors! The university is the best opportunity that can be offered to our young men and women to receive proper education. It gives them the opportunity to build their future. Our main goal and orientation are students, their education, so that they can be useful to themselves, to their families and to their country. Only by offering them the opportunity to be educated do we pave the way for the development and prosperity of our country. Our efforts will be focused on increasing quality, offering programs compatible with market needs, as well as providing additional skills, which make our students competitive in the knowledge and labor market. Our permanent goal remains to produce cadres who will work to improve the lives of our citizens and who will make us proud with their scientific and professional achievements even abroad. Cooperation with higher education institutions, whether domestic or international, will be used in the function of continuous improvement of teaching and learning. The mobility of academic staff and students, the exchange of experiences and methods, will bring new experiences, culture and spirit to our institution, significantly improving academic and student life. We will also work closely with stakeholders, civil society, businesses, public and private institutions, because cooperation with them is essential for the orientation of our university's programs towards market needs. The challenges to achieve our objectives are certainly great, but the dreams to transform the university into a contemporary university are even greater. Therefore, each of us individually, in his or her position, is important for achieving these goals. Together, however, we can make this common dream a reality.
