"Haxhi Zeka" University signs agreements with key mountaineering organizations
As part of the commitment to sustainable regional development and closer ties with the community, Haxhi Zeka University has signed two cooperation agreements with the Kosovo Mountaineering and Sport Climbing Federation as well as with "Gjeravica" Mountaineering Association.
The agreements were formalized by the Rector of UHZ, Prof. Dr. Armand Krasniqi and Mr. Zejnullah Luta, Chairman of the Mountaineering Association "Gjeravica" as well as Mr. Arianit Nikqi, Chairman of the Kosovo Mountaineering and Sport Climbing Federation during a joint meeting where all parties expressed their willingness to deepen cooperation.
At the center of the discussions was the great natural and tourist potential of the Dukagjini region, and the opportunities for developing joint projects in the field of mountain tourism, environmental protection, and student involvement in activities.
Through this collaboration, UHZ aims to provide practical opportunities for students, support scientific research, and promote active involvement in initiatives related to sustainable tourism and mountain sports.
Also, this collaboration coincides with the university's strategic commitment to aligning teaching curricula with the real demands of the labor market - especially in fields such as tourism and environmental sciences.
Rector Krasniqi emphasized that such collaborations not only strengthen the university's educational mission, but also directly contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.
By bringing together academia, civil society, and professional organizations, UHZ is establishing itself as a key factor in fostering innovation and sustainable growth in Dukagjin.
