The Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality and Environmental Management organized a roundtable entitled "Tourism in Increasing Economic Development, Challenges and Opportunities".

World Tourism Day, celebrated on 27 September, brings us an opportunity to reflect on the importance of travel in the global economy, culture and environment. Tourism is more than just a journey, it is a way to discover the natural and cultural wealth of each country and to care for our planet. It is important to promote sustainable tourism, taking care of the environment and respecting the culture and heritage of each destination we visit. World Tourism Day was first celebrated in Kosovo in 2011 by Alternative Tourism Association.

On this occasion, at the premises of the Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality and Environmental Management (FMTHM) to Haxhi Zeka University in Peja (UHZ), various activities were organized by the staff and students. The meeting was attended by the deans of the faculties, along with the academic, administrative staff and students of Haxhi Zeka University, as well as the Chairperson of the Istog Municipal Assembly from the Municipality of Peja and the Manager of Onix SPA from Banja e Peja. Always, exploring opportunities to travel to unknown destinations contributes to the development of tourist destination communities.
