"Haxhi Zeka" University celebrated its 7th anniversary. State officials, rectors, vice-rectors, deans, academic and administrative staff, as well as students, gathered to celebrate the 7th anniversary of the University.
In his speech, the rector of “Haxhi Zeka” University, Prof.Dr.Fadil Millaku, greeted the attendees, thanking them for their participation. The rector also spoke about the biography of the patriot, whose name our University proudly bears, Haxhi Zeka. Speaking about the University, he spoke about the plans to expand study programs, the construction of new facilities to provide better conditions for students, the achievements of the university, such as the improvement in the Webometrics ranking.
“Haxhi Zeka” University is the first university in Kosovo to have started implementing the Tutorial System. Our students have also benefited greatly from the cooperation agreements our university has with other universities, not only local but also with those outside Kosovo. The Rector also expressed his pride in the students who have continued their studies in other European countries.
The Deputy Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Mr. Xhavit Haliti, also took the floor. Thanking for the invitation, he said that he feels happy to be among us to celebrate the 7th anniversary of the University, but what makes him happier is the fact that he hears that the “Haxhi Zeka” University is achieving numerous successes, both in competitions and various representations. He also had a few words for the teachers and students.
In his speech, the Mayor of Peja, Mr. Gazmend Muhaxheri, expressed his pleasure at the presence and congratulated the staff and students on their achievements.
Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Heset Sahiti, greeted the attendees also on behalf of the Minister, Mr. Shyqiri Bytyqi. He said that the Dukagjini region has produced many activists and people of knowledge.
