On September 17, 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Avdullah Robaj, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alma Shehu, Coordinator for International Cooperation at the ''Haxhi Zeka'' University (UHZ) together with the academic staff of the Faculty of Law, welcomed a delegation of twenty-two professors from 8 universities in Poland. The delegation was headed by Dr. Filip Czernicki, Director of the Polish Legal Clinics Foundation. The study visit was carried out within the framework of the ENEMLOS Project: ''‘Legal clinics serving vulnerable groups: increasing the employability of law students through practical education’'' and aimed to exchange experiences between professors from Poland and the academic staff of the Faculty of Law about the functioning of real legal clinics.
The meeting was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Avdullah Robaj, also the manager of the ENEMLOS project. Prof. Assoc. Dr. Alma Shehu, greeted the attendees on behalf of the Rector of UHZ, Prof.Dr. Armand Krasniqi, wishing them a warm welcome. Then, Prof.Assoc.Dr. Alma Shehu informed the attendees about the history of UHZ, its organization and the possibilities of cooperation of UHZ with Polish universities, including the Universities represented by the professors present on this visit: University of Lodz, Jagiellonian University, University of Warsaw, SWPS University, University of Szczecin, Opole University, Frycz Modrzewski University – Kraków, University of Wrocław. Prof.Asoc.Dr. Sabiha Shala informed the attendees that at the Faculty of Law at UHZ- has adapted the office for the Real Legal Clinic and that the recruitment process of the first generation of students who will be engaged in the clinic has been completed. She emphasized that other administrative preparations are being made so that students can start their work at the clinic during October 2022, and that the acceptance of cases from clients can be done during this semester. All these activities have been carried out thanks to the support of the academic staff of the universities that are partners in the Erasmus+ ENEMLOS Project.
The Polish delegation also met with students from the Faculty of Law at UHZ, who have been selected to work at the Real Legal Clinic during the 2022/2023 academic year. Dr. Filip Czernicki, Director of the Polish Legal Clinics Foundation, discussed with the students the importance of working in legal clinics, the tasks, benefits and contribution to society that students can make through their work at the clinic. The Polish delegation also visited the computer rooms and other supporting infrastructure necessary for the students' work at the Real Legal Clinic.
