"Haxhi Zeka" University is accepted into the EUA - a historic step towards European consolidation of scientific research
Universiteti “Haxhi Zeka” in Peja has marked a significant institutional and academic success, being accepted in the first phase of the application as an Individual Associate Member within the framework of European University Association (EUA), rrjetit më të madh dhe më prestigjioz të universiteteve evropiane.
This decision was taken on 30 January 2026 by the members of the EUA Standing Committee on Membership, following a detailed process of assessing the institutional and academic capacities of “Haxhi Zeka” University. Admission at this stage constitutes a clear recognition of the progress achieved by UHZ in building European standards in teaching, university governance and international cooperation.
The status of Individual Associate Member provides Haxhi Zeka University with full access to the benefits, services, programs and activities of the EUA, positioning the university as an active part of the European higher education and research area.
