Today, 29 June 2026, “Haxhi Zeka” University officially launches UNISUM 2026 – the International Summer University, marking the fifth edition of one of the most prestigious international academic events in Kosovo.
For the fifth consecutive year, UNISUM has served as a platform that brings together professors, researchers, and students from around the world, transforming “Haxhi Zeka” University into a dynamic hub of knowledge exchange, academic cooperation, and innovation. UNISUM 2026 will take place from 29 June to 10 July 2026.
UNISUM 2026 marks a record level of participation, welcoming more than 100 international students alongside around 30 students from Kosovo, creating a unique multicultural and academic environment. This year's edition brings together 31 professors, including 15 international professors and 16 professors from Kosovo, who will jointly deliver 15 intensive courses through the co-teaching model, combining international and local expertise.
The international professors come from Finland, Germany, Hungary, Croatia, Albania, the United States of America, Poland, Türkiye, Moldova, and Montenegro. Together with the professors of “Haxhi Zeka” University, they represent 11 countries, further strengthening the global character of UNISUM 2026.
Each course consists of four teaching hours per day and is worth 4 ECTS credits. Students may attend one or two courses and earn up to 8 ECTS credits.
In addition to the academic programme, UNISUM 2026 will feature a series of inspiring Guest Speaker sessions over the two-week programme. Distinguished speakers will include the Ambassador of Hungary to Kosovo, the Ambassador of Türkiye to Kosovo, as well as representatives of public institutions, the academic community, and the business sector.
Alongside UNISUM, “Haxhi Zeka” University also organizes the International Winter University – UNIWIN, which is held over two weeks in February. To date, three successful editions of UNIWIN have been organized, further enriching the university's international academic portfolio.
With its strong international participation, innovative academic programme, co-teaching approach, and collaboration with partner institutions from around the world, UNISUM 2026 once again reaffirms the role of “Haxhi Zeka” University as a modern, open, and internationally oriented institution.
