University "Haxhi Zeka" Hosts the GreenWB Project Final Conference

On 25–26 June 2026, University "Haxhi Zeka" in Peja had the honour of hosting the Final Conference of the Erasmus+ project GreenWB — Sustainable Living Labs for Regional Entrepreneurial Development. Sustainable Living Labs for Regional Entrepreneurial Development.

The conference brought together representatives from eight partner universities from Austria, Finland, North Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo, as well as two partners as chambers of commerce from Kosovo and Albania.

Day 1 opened with welcome remarks from the UHZ leadership, followed by an overview of the project's achievements and final steps. The morning session continued with invited industry speakers — Arsim Selmonmusaj, CEO of Elkos Group, and Diamant Elshani, CEO of Elmont Residence — who shared their perspectives on university–business collaboration and green impact in the region. The afternoon was dedicated to pilot project presentations from all five partner universities in Kosovo and Albania, including UHZ's own pilot projects developed under the Helixa Living Lab.

Day 2 focused on reflection and future vision — partners discussed lessons learned, project closure steps, and potential initiatives for continuity and new collaboration. The conference was officially closed with a wrap-up session led jointly by UHZ and the project coordinator.

The GreenWB project has enabled the establishment of five Sustainability Laboratories across the partner universities — living innovation hubs that will continue to support green entrepreneurship beyond the project's conclusion.

The GreenWB project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
