"HAXHI ZEKA" UNIVERSITY WITH THE SUPPORT OF SHER DEVELOPS THE SECOND WORKSHOP ON COOPERATION BETWEEN ACADEMY AND INDUSTRY

On November 7, 2025, "Haxhi Zeka" University, with the support of the SHER program, successfully held the second workshop on the topic: "Collaboration between Academia and Industry - Focusing on the development and review of curricula in accordance with the needs of the labor market at the regional level."

The event was attended by representatives from universities, municipalities, central institutions, businesses and non-governmental organizations, who discussed the most effective ways to improve technological integration between higher education and the industrial sector, as well as to build a sustainable cooperation ecosystem in the Dukagjin region.

The workshop opened with welcoming remarks by the Rector of “Haxhi Zeka” University, Prof. Dr. Armand Krasniqi, and Mr. Nehat Dervishi, SHER Program Coordinator.
After the presentation by Prof. Dr. Avdullah Alija, expert of the SHER Program, on the results of the first workshop on Innovation and Digital Transformation, participants held open discussions on the joint approach of Academia, Industry and Government, reflecting on the Triple Helix model as a basis for sustainable regional development.

In the second part of the meeting, contributions were given for the preparations of the third Conference of the Dukagjin Regional Economic Forum (DERF), where priority topics and future discussion sessions were identified.
The workshop closed with thanks from Rector Krasniqi and Mr. Dervishi for the contributions of all participants and for the joint commitment to strengthening the links between education, innovation and local economic development.

This activity is part of the preparations of "Haxhi Zeka" University, for the construction of a cooperation platform that connects the university, business and local government, in order to improve the quality of education and increase the employability of young people in the region.
