On the final night of the Second Edition of the International “Ymer Skenderi” Competition, held in the concert hall near the Faculty of Fine Arts, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts in Peja, Prof. Dr. Fatbardh Gashi, was invited as a member of the jury responsible for awarding the grand prize of the evening.
During the award ceremony for the different categories, in his welcoming speech the Dean thanked the university’s senior management, especially the Rector, Prof. Dr. Erald Bakalli, for the remarkable work being carried out at the university. He also expressed his gratitude for the invitation extended by the Dean, Prof. Arben Llozi.
Among other remarks, he emphasized that through this competition inter-institutional cooperation among our artistic institutions is being strengthened and revitalized, expressing his wish that such cooperation will expand even further in the future. The participating students from the Faculty of Arts of Haxhi Zeka University in this competition were:
• Dionis Berisha – Guitar, First Year Bachelor, First Prize.
• Arberin Shala – Clarinet, First Year Bachelor, Third Prize.
• Ari Haxhija – Clarinet, First Year Bachelor, Third Prize.
It is worth noting that the grand prize was awarded by the honorary president of the competition, the internationally renowned violinist and conductor Shlomo Mintz.
