Students of the Faculty of Business visited the Kosovo Tax Administration – Peja Branch

Students of the Faculty of Business, within the course Mësimi Praktik dhe Zhvillimi i Karrierës, accompanied by the professor Shkëlqesa Smajli and Career Development Officer Leonora Gjergjaj, carried out a study visit to Kosovo Tax Administration (ATK), branch in Peja.

Representatives of TAK, branch director Shefqet Dervishaj and the tax inspector Rexhep Kuqi, welcomed the students and presented to them the function, role and importance of the Tax Administration in the country's economic development.

The students were briefed on the functioning of the Tax Administration, including its history, mission, organizational structure, types of taxes administered (income tax, profit tax, VAT, payroll tax, etc.), as well as the legal basis on which the tax system in Kosovo is based. They were also introduced to tax administration processes, the role of inspectors, and digital services such as electronic declarations and online platforms for taxpayers.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to see up close the daily work of the tax administration, as well as ask questions about practical issues related to taxes, financial flows, business responsibilities, and the importance of fulfilling tax obligations.

This activity was carried out with the aim of providing students with practical knowledge about the functioning of public institutions, with particular emphasis on revenue administration and supporting economic development through the tax system.
