Workshop "Capacity Building and Networking between University Career Offices" is held“
Career Development Office of "Haxhi Zeka" University“ – Peja supported by GIZ DIMAK held the workshop “Capacity building and networking between university career offices”. Participants were representatives from DIMAK Kosova/GIZ, Mr. Nexhmedin Basha and Mr. Rrahim Trepça, representatives from the career offices of public universities in Kosovo, the representative from the EYE project Ms. Valobona Rraci and the Director of the Employment Office in the Municipality of Peja Mr. Bajram Demaj.
The Rector of UHZ, Prof. Dr. Armand Krasniqi, addressed the participants with a special word. Rector Krasniqi thanked GIZ for all the continuous support and emphasized that he will do his utmost to further strengthen the Career Development Office, in which case he requests further support from GIZ.
Also, with a special word, the participants were greeted by representatives from DIMAK Kosovo/GIZ, Mr. Nexhmedin Basha and Mr. Rrahim Trepça.
The Director of the Career Development Office, Abedin Selimaj, presented the idea for a long-term project to strengthen career offices. Furthermore, this idea aims to support capacity building, cooperation and networking to improve career services offered at public universities. Networking at local, regional and international levels, the establishment of a traditional career summer school, student mobility and the digitalization of services for students and graduates are some of the elements of this project.
The workshop aimed at networking as a mechanism to exchange views, best practices from Kosovo and abroad, as well as current trends in applying an approach based on the provision of career services to students and graduates in public universities.
