"HAXHI ZEKA" UNIVERSITY INCREASES RESEARCH AND INNOVATION CAPACITIES WITH THE SUPPORT OF KFOR

Haxhi Zeka University has organized today the official ceremony for the receipt of technological equipment, a donation from the Regional Command West - KFOR, marking a significant step towards advancing the academic, research and innovative capacities of the institution.

The ceremony was held in the presence of institutional leaders, KFOR representatives, academic staff and students. On this occasion, the Rector of “Haxhi Zeka” University, prof.dr. Armand Krasniqi, highly appreciated the continued support of KFOR, emphasizing that the donation is a direct investment in knowledge, creativity and in building the future of young people.

The donation is the result of the commitment of the KFOR Regional Command-West, led by Lorenzo Mangia, who emphasized that investment in higher education constitutes a key factor for sustainable development and strengthening long-term stability in Kosovo, creating concrete opportunities for the advancement of knowledge, technological innovation and the connection of universities with the local community and industry.

Regional Command–West (RC-West) donated a 3D scanner, a high-capacity 3D printer, and an innovative prototype for recycling plastic materials, supporting the university's scientific research and technological experimentation, as well as promoting innovation, sustainability, and knowledge transfer. 

The donated equipment will be used within the Green Laboratory, creating concrete opportunities for the development of innovative and entrepreneurial ideas of students, for strengthening the research-scientific component of academic staff, as well as for advancing practical teaching in areas related to sustainable development and professional innovation.

The ceremony concluded with the official signing of the donation act by the Commander of the KFOR Regional Command-West, Col. Lorenzo Mangia and the Rector of "Haxhi Zeka" University, Prof. Dr. Armand Krasniqi, as well as with the symbolic commissioning of the equipment.

KFOR's support further strengthens the partnership built on mutual trust and respect with "Haxhi Zeka" University, and reflects a shared vision for the future of higher education and sustainable development in Kosovo.
