Today, at Haxhi Zeka University, Rector Prof. Dr. Armand Krasniqi welcomed Ms. Lindita Boshtrakaj, representative of the HoReCa Project under the International Labour Organization (ILO). The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation in the field of professional development, with particular emphasis on the implementation of hospitality qualification programs at Levels V and VI, directly aligned with the needs of the labor market.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged valuable information regarding labor market analyses conducted by the Institute for Science and Arts of Haxhi Zeka University and by the HoReCa Project, highlighting priority sectors and the concrete demands of the hospitality industry. The discussion underscored the importance of aligning professional qualifications with international standards and with the dynamics of tourism and hospitality development in Kosovo.
Both parties agreed to proceed with concrete steps towards the design and implementation of professional programs that will serve as a foundation for preparing qualified staff across all dimensions of the hospitality industry. This joint commitment is expected to contribute directly to enhancing the quality of services and to increasing the employability of professionals in this strategically important sector for the country’s economic development.
