"Haxhi Zeka" University is being represented at the highest leadership levels at the 11th Rectors' Forum of Southeast Europe and the Western Balkans, which is being held at the University of Ljubljana.
Participating in this important event for higher education in the region are the Rector of UHZ, Prof. Dr. Armand Krasniqi, together with the Vice-Rector for Teaching, Student Affairs and Scientific Research, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alma Shehu Lokaj and the Vice-Rector for Budget, Finance and Infrastructure, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vjosa Hajdari.
The central theme of this edition is “Strengthening the synergy between university and business in the Western Balkans”. During the two days of the forum, the UHZ delegation will be part of discussions on:
Collaboration models: Planning curricula according to labor market needs
Innovation and Technology Transfer: How universities can serve as catalysts for economic development through knowledge transfer offices.
Involving industry experts: Best practices for involving professionals from the private sector in teaching and practical training for students.
The forum program includes roundtables with academic leaders from the EUTOPIA network, including representatives from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, to discuss the integration of students into organizational environments and the creation of new businesses (spin-offs).
The participation is also serving as an opportunity to intensify contacts with regional academic partners, including the University of Rijeka in Croatia. The meeting continued at this forum with the Vice-Rector of this university, Prof. Dr. Goran Vukelić, where discussions continued on the possibilities of inter-university cooperation in the field of scientific research, academic mobility and the development of joint international projects.
UHZ's participation in this forum not only strengthens academic relations, but also serves as a platform to accelerate the internationalization of our university.
