Universiteti i Haxhi Zeka ka përmbyllur me sukses Universitetin e Pestë Ndërkombëtar Veror –UNISUM 2026, i cili u zhvillua nga data 29 qershor deri më 10 korrik 2026 me pjesëmarrje fizike në ambientet e Universitetit në Pejë. Programi akademik dyjavor ndërkombëtar mblodhi më shumë se 120 studentë ndërkombëtarë dhe vendorë, profesorë të shquar nga universitete prestigjioze në Evropë, Shtetet e Bashkuara të Amerikës dhe vende të tjera, përfaqësues të institucioneve publike, anëtarë të komunitetit diplomatik dhe stafin akademik të UHZ-së, duke krijuar një mjedis frymëzues për mësim, bashkëpunim dhe shkëmbim ndërkulturor.
Edicioni i këtij viti i UNISUM përfshiu 15 kurse ndërdisiplinore, të zhvilluara bashkërisht nga profesorë ndërkombëtarë dhe stafi akademik i UHZ-së. Përveç programit akademik, UNISUM 2026 organizoi një seri ligjëratash të veçanta nga përfaqësues të shquar të diplomacisë ndërkombëtare. Shkëlqesia e Tij László István Dux, Ambasador i Hungarisë në Kosovë, mbajti ligjëratën me temën “EU Enlargement Policy”, ndërsa Shkëlqesia e Tij Sabri Tunç Angılı, Ambasador i Republikës së Turqisë në Kosovë, prezantoi temën “The Diplomacy of the Republic of Türkiye; European Union Enlargement, European Integration, and Türkiye’s Regional and Global Role”. Të dyja ligjëratat zgjuan interesim të madh te pjesëmarrësit dhe u pasuan me diskutime interaktive dhe sesione pyetje-përgjigje. Studentët patën mundësinë të angazhohen drejtpërdrejt me ambasadorët, duke përfituar njohuri të vlefshme mbi diplomacinë, marrëdhëniet ndërkombëtare, integrimin evropian dhe bashkëpunimin rajonal. Këto diskutime u ofruan studentëve një mundësi unike për të mësuar drejtpërdrejt nga përvoja e diplomatëve të shquar dhe për të pasuruar përvojën e tyre akademike.
Ceremonia përmbyllëse e UNISUM 2026 u karakterizua nga një ligjëratë e veçantë nga Kryeministri i Republikës së Kosovës, z. Albin Kurti, me temën “Perspektivat institucionale mbi ndërkombëtarizimin e arsimit të lartë në Republikën e Kosovës: politikat, masat dhe veprimet”. Në këtë ngjarje morën pjesë Ministri i Arsimit, Shkencës, Teknologjisë dhe Inovacionit, z. Hajrulla Çeku, anëtarë të Këshillit Drejtues të Universitetit, profesorë ndërkombëtarë dhe vendorë, përfaqësues të Parlamentit Studentor, organizata aktive studentore të UHZ-së dhe pjesëmarrësit e UNISUM 2026.
Pas ligjëratës, studentët morën pjesë aktive në një diskutim të hapur me Kryeministrin Kurti, duke parashtruar pyetje dhe duke shkëmbyer pikëpamje mbi reformat në arsimin e lartë, politikat institucionale dhe të ardhmen e ndërkombëtarizimit të arsimit në Kosovë. Diskutimi u ofroi studentëve një mundësi të rëndësishme për të komunikuar drejtpërdrejt me vendimmarrësit dhe për të fituar perspektiva më të gjera mbi zhvillimin e arsimit të lartë dhe bashkëpunimin ndërkombëtar.
Përtej aktiviteteve akademike, UNISUM 2026 përfshiu një program të pasur kulturor dhe rekreativ me qëllim promovimin e trashëgimisë kulturore dhe potencialeve turistike të Kosovës. Pjesëmarrësit realizuan vizita në biznese lokale dhe institucione publike në Pejë, duke u njohur nga afër me zhvillimin ekonomik të rajonit, ndërmarrësinë, praktikat institucionale dhe vlerat kulturore. Këto aktivitete forcuan lidhjet ndërmjet akademisë dhe komunitetit lokal, duke nxitur rrjetëzimin dhe shkëmbimin ndërkulturor ndërmjet pjesëmarrësve nga vende të ndryshme.
Në kuadër të programit kulturor të UNISUM 2026, kitaristi i njohur klasik, Prof. Danijel Cerović, mbajti një koncert të veçantë në Kishën Katolike në Pejë, duke bashkuar pjesëmarrësit e UNISUM, dashamirët e muzikës dhe komunitetin lokal. Koncerti ofroi një përvojë të jashtëzakonshme artistike në një hapësirë të njohur për akustikën dhe atmosferën e saj frymëzuese, ku Prof. Cerović prezantoi një repertor të përzgjedhur, duke shfaqur mjeshtëri të lartë teknike, interpretim të thellë muzikor dhe shprehje artistike.
Në koncert morën pjesë një audiencë ndërkombëtare e përbërë nga pjesëmarrës nga vende të ndryshme, si dhe qytetarë të Pejës, duke krijuar një atmosferë të veçantë të shkëmbimit ndërkulturor përmes gjuhës universale të muzikës. Koncerti plotësoi aktivitetet akademike të UNISUM 2026 dhe reflektoi përkushtimin e Universitetit për të lidhur arsimin, artin dhe kulturën si elemente të rëndësishme të bashkëpunimit ndërkombëtar. Pjesëmarrja e Prof. Danijel Cerović ishte gjithashtu e ndërlidhur me kursin “Classical Guitar Performance and Interpretation”, të zhvilluar në bashkëpunim me Prof. Xhevdet Sahatxhija nga Universiteti i Haxhi Zekës, duke forcuar më tej partneritetet akademike dhe artistike ndërkombëtare që karakterizojnë Universitetin Veror.
Përmbyllja me sukses e UNISUM 2026 dëshmon edhe një herë përkushtimin e fortë të Universitetit të Haxhi Zekës ndaj ndërkombëtarizimit, ekselencës akademike dhe bashkëpunimit global. Përmes partneriteteve me universitete prestigjioze dhe profesorë të shquar ndërkombëtarë, UNISUM vazhdon të ofrojë për studentët mundësi të vlefshme për përfitimin e njohurive të reja, shkëmbimin e përvojave, krijimin e rrjeteve ndërkombëtare dhe zhvillimin e kompetencave akademike e profesionale.
University of Haxhi Zeka Successfully Concludes the Fifth International Summer University – UNISUM 2026
The University “ Haxhi Zeka” successfully concluded the Fifth International Summer University – UNISUM 2026, held from 29 June to 10 July 2026 with physical attendance at the University’s campus in Peja. The two-week international academic programme brought together more than 120 international and local students, distinguished professors from leading universities across Europe, the United States, and other countries, representatives of public institutions, members of the diplomatic community, and academic staff of UHZ, creating an inspiring environment for learning, collaboration, and intercultural exchange.
This year’s edition of UNISUM2026 featured 15 interdisciplinary courses, jointly delivered by international professors and UHZ academic staff. In addition to the academic programme, UNISUM 2026 hosted a series of distinguished guest lectures delivered by prominent diplomatic representatives. His Excellency László István Dux, Ambassador of Hungary to Kosovo, delivered a lecture on “EU Enlargement Policy,” while His Excellency Sabri Tunç Angılı, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Kosovo, presented “The Diplomacy of the Republic of Türkiye; European Union Enlargement, European Integration, and Türkiye’s Regional and Global Role.” Both lectures attracted significant interest from participants and were followed by interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions. Students actively engaged with the ambassadors, gaining valuable insights into diplomacy, international relations, European integration, and regional cooperation. These discussions provided participants with a unique opportunity to learn directly from experienced diplomats and further enriched their academic experience.
The closing ceremony of UNISUM 2026 featured a distinguished guest lecture by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, on the topic “Institutional Perspectives on the Internationalization of Higher Education in the Republic of Kosovo: Policies, Measures, and Actions.” The event was attended by the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Mr. Hajrulla Çeku, members of the University Governing Council, international and local professors, representatives of the Student Parliament, active UHZ student organizations, and participants of UNISUM 2026.
Following the lecture, students actively participated in an open discussion with Prime Minister Kurti, asking questions and exchanging views on higher education reforms, institutional policies, and the future of internationalization in Kosovo. The discussion offered students an important opportunity to engage directly with policymakers and gain broader perspectives on the development of higher education and international cooperation.
Beyond the classroom, UNISUM 2026 included a diverse cultural and recreational programme aimed at promoting Kosovo’s cultural heritage and tourism potential. Participants visited local businesses and public institutions in Peja, gaining first-hand insights into the region’s economic development, entrepreneurship, institutional practices, and cultural values. These activities strengthened connections between academia and the local community while encouraging networking and intercultural exchange among participants from different countries.
As part of the cultural programme of UNISUM 2026, renowned classical guitarist Professor Danijel Cerović delivered an outstanding concert held at the Catholic Church in Peja, bringing together UNISUM participants, music lovers, and members of the local community. The concert offered an exceptional artistic experience in a venue known for its remarkable acoustics and inspiring atmosphere, where Professor Cerović presented a carefully selected repertoire showcasing outstanding artistry, technical mastery, and profound musical expression.
The event welcomed an international audience representing different countries alongside citizens of Peja, creating a unique environment for intercultural exchange and appreciation through the universal language of music. The concert complemented the academic activities of UNISUM 2026 and reflected the University’s commitment to connecting education, art, and culture as essential elements of international cooperation. Professor Danijel Cerović’s participation was also linked to the course “Classical Guitar Performance and Interpretation,” delivered in collaboration with Professor Xhevdet Sahatxhija from the University of Haxhi Zeka, further strengthening the international academic and artistic partnerships that define the Summer University.
The successful completion of UNISUM 2026 once again demonstrates the University of Haxhi Zeka’s strong commitment to internationalization, academic excellence, and global cooperation. Through partnerships with prestigious universities and distinguished international scholars, UNISUM continues to provide students with valuable opportunities for acquiring new knowledge, exchanging experiences, developing international networks, and strengthening their academic and professional competencies.
