The international project NAWA 2, funded by the NAWA Foundation and supported by the European Commission, has officially launched with the first kick-off meeting held in Opole, Poland. This project, which is a continuation of the previous phase that ended two years ago, aims to develop sustainable competences of European students. A total of 45 students from five partner universities are participating in the project, with nine students from each institution. They will work in international groups through small projects managed by experts from the participating universities, gaining practical experience and advanced professional skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project activities will be carried out over five main workshops. The first will be held at Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic, from 16 to 20 February 2026, with a focus on developing sustainable potential of students in the contemporary economy. Then, from 27 to 30 April 2026, \u201cAleksand\u00ebr Moisiu\u201d University in Durr\u00ebs will host the second workshop, which will address sustainable competencies in tourism and the assessment of tourism potentials and national heritage. The third workshop will be held at \u201cHaxhi Zeka\u201d University in Peja, from 1 to 5 September 2026, with a theme focused on cultural and historical heritage and the importance of its preservation in modern society. From 1 to 6 November 2027, the University of Valencia in Spain will organize the next activity with a focus on human resource management, an institution that boasts a tradition of over 550 years. The final meeting of the project will be held at the University of Opole in Poland, in February 2027, where the official closure will also take place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participating students will receive a certificate and 1 ECTS credit for each workshop. At the end of the project, they will also receive a joint certificate confirming the acquisition of 5 ECTS credits in total. The NAWA 2 project aims to strengthen international cooperation between universities, increase the professional and intercultural competences of students and create long-term academic and professional networks, offering them a valuable opportunity for preparation and development for the modern labor market in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
