Students protest at HZU

After publishing the news from a daily informative that KAA will decide on the disadvantage of
institutional accreditation toward some new public holders Students of “Haxhi Zeka” University in Peja,
protested against “Expert Recommendations”, as the media reported that the institution was not
accredited.
Below you see the students’ reaction “We as students of HZU in Peja, are gathered today,
based on the announcement of some media against the recommendations of an expert which allegedly
evaluated that the new universities, in particular HZU, did not meet the criteria for institutional
accreditation. “
They gave a remark also for the reasons why KAA could accredit existing programs for three years, but
refuse institutional accreditation.
Students unanimously requested the resignation of the Minister of Education, Shyqyri Bytyqi, who every
year asks that there should not be any new university the epithet of the Public University.
Students required from the KAA not to turn into a conceptual project of an NGO, which is sponsored by
the Ministry of Education.
Students said that the protest would not end now, and that the protests will continue even before the
Ministry of Education and KAA if the appropriate measures are not taken.
